CIVIC “TO DO” LIST

Immediate Action

 1.     Complete Your Census, either on the U.S. Census website, or by mail.

Census results help determine how billions of dollars in federal funding flow into the states and communities each year.  Census results also determine how many seats in Congress each state gets.

2.     Review your voter registration information, either on-line, at GoVoteKY.com, or contact your county clerk (find your clerk here).  Look to see if your address and zip code are correct.  Update your information, if needed, at the same portal.

3.     Deadline for registering to vote in the primary election is May 26, 2020. Register here: GoVoteKy.com

General election is scheduled for November 3, 2020

For Persons with Nonviolent Felony Convictions

In December, the governor restored the right to vote to persons with nonviolent felony convictions who have completed full sentencing.

Check for your eligibility to VOTE in Kentucky:

·       at this website: www.civilrightsrestoration.ky.gov

·       by emailing CivilRights.Restoration@ky.gov or

·       by calling 502-782-9731

You will need to submit your: 

·       Name as listed when you were convicted

·       Birthdate

·       County where felony was committed

If your name does not show up on the website, call 502-782-9731 and ask for help.

Once you are confirmed, you may register to vote online. There is a link on the www.civilrightsrestoration.ky.gov website or go to: www.GoVOTEKY.com.
