The LWVKY Voting Rights Restoration Committee champions voting rights restoration for people who have been permanently banned from voting because of a prior felony conviction. Kentucky is 1 of only 3 states whose laws permanently ban justice-involved people from voting. The LWV is involved with educating the community about this issue and advocating for a Constitutional Amendment to restore the voting rights for impacted Kentuckians.
