National Votes for Women’s Trail Marker to Honor Kentucky Suffragist Dr. Mary E. Britton

The centennial of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution will be celebrated in 2020, and Kentucky’s suffragists are being recognized for the state and national work they did to win federal protection of their right to vote. The National Collaborative for Women’s History Sites (NCWHS) and the William G. Pomeroy Foundation have partnered to sponsor markers in Kentucky as part of the National Votes for Women Trail (NVWT).
