LWVKY ANNUAL MEETING (Virtual)

All members of the League of Women Voters of Kentucky are invited to attend our 2022 Annual Meeting on Saturday, June 11, from 9:45 AM – 2:00 PM ET/ 8:45 AM-1 PM CT.  The meeting will be via Zoom and is free.

The Annual Meeting is a time for League members from Bell County, Hopkinsville, Lexington, Louisville, Northern Kentucky, and members-at-large to come together to plan for next year and learn from each other.  This year’s theme is “Defending Democracy.”  The League has an important role to play, and only if we act as a unified whole at all levels of government – national, state, and local - can we be successful.

Our jam-packed agenda includes the following:

  • Jim Wayne (D) and Trey Grayson (R) discussing Kentucky’s political landscape & their advice regarding the League’s role particularly in regard to legislative issues

  • Message from Melissa Currence from LWVUS

  • Workshops focused on voter service/education, including methods/strategies that will increase voter know-how and turn-out.

  • Business Meeting to:  elect Directors to the LWVKY Board and Nominating Committee Chair; adopt budget for 2022-23 fiscal year; change the name of LWVKYEF to LWVKY; and adopt program for 2022-23.

  • Tools and strategies for the restoration of voting rights to ex-offenders

  • A break-out session that will randomly divide attendees into small groups to talk to one another about common issues

Meeting materials will be sent closer to the meeting to those who have registered.
